photo-212We were lucky enough to have Dr. Purewal from Laguna Creek Veterinary Hospital as our special guest for the July Pets To Go Kids Club to teach us all about what it is to be a veterinarian.  Dr. Purewal explained what a typical routine examination entails (with some special help from PTG mascot JJ!) and answered questions from kids.  He also brought some props (some of which JJ thought were toys!) which included a tooth, an example of a ringworm, X-rays of real animals he’s cared for as well as an array of plastic toy body parts to show how an animal’s body works.

Big thanks to Dr. Purewal and those who turned out for such an educational kids club!  For more photos from July’s PTG Kids Club, click here.

*The PTG Kids Club meets every first Saturday of the month at the Pets To Go store on Laguna Main with topics ranging from dogs and cats to lizards and bettas! Best of all: it’s FREE!*
