photo 2-44Another Pets To Go Kids Club for the books!  We declared that November was for the birds and we learned all about them at November’s Kids Club meet up.  Pets To Go’s Kat and Natalie were joined by 16 kids and their parents as well as a turkey, a chicken and duck among a few other feathered friends.

The children’s eyes were wide with excitement as they were able to pet the birds and learned among other things, how they could keep a chicken at home as a pet– and as one of the parents pointed out: what a great way to provide eggs for their household!  We had an absolute blast learning about our fine feathered friends and we loved seeing the creativity in the arts and crafts project of creating a turkey from hand print cut outs.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, we’re thankful for opportunities like these to teach children about nontraditional pets.  Did you know we carry supplies for livestock?  If you have any questions, we’re more than happy to answer them!

Our topic for December’s Kids Club was inspired by the lyrics from the seasonal movie Sound of Music: “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens…”  That’s right!  We’ll be covering kittens and cats at the December Pets To Go Kids Club!  Join us on Saturday, December 7th!
